Many species you see here at Fossil Rim have fought their way through droughts, an ice age, the shifting of continents and generations of predation, starvation and disease - only to now face the looming threat of extinction.

Herds of sable antelope and gemsbok roam our Texas pastures just as they would in their native African habitats.
The scimitar-horned oryx has returned to its ancestral grasslands in Chad.
The Mexican gray wolf, once thought destined to disappear, lives within our Intensive Management Area.
Land Conservation
To participate effectively in the preservation and conservation of selected wildlife species, natural biological diversity and natural habitat not only on our own land but also, whenever possible, in the natural range of the selected species.
Fossil Rim Wildlife Center is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 entity, specializing in captive breeding programs for indigenous and exotic endangered and threatened species.
