NIGHT SHIFT

I Spy, with my little eye, an adventure! Join us for the "shift change" as daytime animals end their day and nighttime ones become more active. Will you need to rely on your limited sight? Explore the different adaptations and behaviors of Fossil Rim's species while you witness the beauty of a Texas sunset. Taking the night shift has never been more fun!

GOODNIGHT, FOSSIL RIM

How does a giraffe find a long enough bed? Does a rhino brush its horn before it goes to sleep? Bring your young ones (and your young at heart) to an evening at Fossil Rim to see how our animals behave after hours.

It's time to tuck ourselves in for the night!
And there's no need to fear or be filled with fright.
How do you get ready for bed?
Some Fossil Rim species will begin to rest their heads,
while others begin to wake with the moon.
We hope that you will join us soon!

SCIENCING IN THE DARK

We may not be dancing in the dark, but we are sciencing . . . and you're invited! Although nightfall can be scary, this shroud of darkness actually holds the keys to conservation's secrets. Join us as we answer the questions of the night and conduct our own science experiments through the beautiful Texas landscape in the setting sun. Examine our fears of the dark and the science that explains them, while you experience a living lab. After all, there's a wondrous wild night to explore!

Like any good role-playing game, you'll need some advantageous adaptations for this journey! See these nighttime adaptations and species in real time while running into some "intriguing" encounters that will test your nocturnal knowledge. Are you game?
