Built in 1860 as a water-powered gristmill, Barnard's Mill has served as a cotton gin, health spa, and hospital. Today it's a Texas Historic Landmark housing a fine art collection featuring works by nationally recognized artists like Robert Summers and Morris Henry Hobbs. 

Dinosaur Valley State Park is home to 113-million-year-old theropod and sauropod footprints preserved in the Paluxy River bed - some of the best in the world. Hike, swim, camp, or simply stand in a dinosaur track and let that sink in.

Dinosaur World features over 150 life-size stationary dinosaurs and 20 animatronic displays, plus a fossil dig, gem excavation, and a prehistoric museum.

The Somervell County Museum is located on the courthouse square and covers Glen Rose history from dinosaur track castings to a moonshiner's still.
