Looking to woo that special someone for Valentine’s Day? Sweetheart Safaris are back!
Guests will need to check in at The Lodge by 4:15 p.m. on their scheduled day. Their guided tour will leave the nearby Safari Camp at 4:30 p.m. The tour will return to camp at 6 p.m., as guests enjoy dinner in the glass-walled pavilion while the sun sets.
The first course of the Valentine’s Dinner menu will be a trio of stuffed mushrooms – blue cheese and garlic, spinach and bell pepper, as well as walnut and cream.
The second course will be artisan lettuce and beets from nearby High Hope Ranch with blue cheese from nearby Veldhuizen Cheese Shoppe, oranges, pecans, and caramelized onions with a balsamic vinaigrette. Guests will have a second option for this course if desired – parsnip parmesan soup.
The main course will be prime New York Strip Steak or quail or red snapper with a red wine sauce, mushroom risotto, and parmesan-roasted asparagus. Dessert will be Crêpes Suzette – crêpes filled with orange butter and topped with an orange-sherry sauce au flambé.
Beverage options will include water, iced tea, hot tea, and coffee. BYOB for beer and wine. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions during registration; vegan and vegetarian options are available upon request.
We can accommodate seven couples for each event under social distancing guidelines and the price will be $100 per person, not including tax or gratuity.
