Animal Care Specialist – HoofstockFossil Rim Wildlife Center has an opening for an Animal Care Specialist-Hoofstock. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing animal care, monitoring animal health, accurate record keeping, reporting, cleaning, animal area maintenance, and visitor interaction. Qualifications must include experience with hoofstock management (semi-free ranging preferable), animal restraint, record keeping, some maintenance, possess valid drivers license, and public speaking. The position will work with all aspects of the hoofstock collection at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center and will have a focus area, as well as be cross trained in other areas within the hoofstock department. This position can be physically demanding requiring heavy lifting (up to 75 pounds), and adverse weather conditions are common. The candidate must be a team player as well as be able to work alone. A degree in wildlife management, biology, zoology, or related field, and at least two years of practical experience is required. Work schedule will be five days a week including weekends and holidays as needed. The position is full time non-exempt.

RETAIL ASSOCIATE - This position is responsible for a high-impact, fast-paced, first impression directed, top-notch customer service. This will be the result of assisting guests in a way that will ensure a pleasant and comfortable time at Fossil Rim, helping guests with purchases made at retail locations, processing customer transactions in a friendly and urgent manner, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
GARDENER: This position will be responsible for performing a variety of gardening activities to beatify and maintain Fossil Rim’s gardens, lawns, and hay fields.
CAMP ASSISTANT: This position is responsible for assisting with camp activities. They help supervise the children, serve as an overnight chaperone in applicable gender bunkhouses, learn and present programs, and help with facility maintenance. Performance of this position will comply with the mission, values, and goals of Fossil Rim and its Education Department.
BUS TOUR GUIDES: This position is responsible for driving a school bus for on-site educational tours.
