Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Do I need to fill out an application form?

A:  Résumés with cover letters will be accepted in place of
an application initially. If chosen for a personal
interview, applicants will be required to complete
an application form. Optimal application process
is to submit an application form PLUS a cover
      letter and résumé.

Q: How long will each position remain open?

A:  Unless specified in the position announcement, position will remain open until filled.

Q: How will I know if I will be selected for an interview?

A:  If you are a candidate for a current opening and you meet the qualifications for that position,
you will more than likely be contacted for an interview.

Q: How should I dress for an interview?

A:  Business casual for ALL positions.

Q: Will you call me when you receive my application form?

A:  Unfortunately, due to the number of applications and résumés we receive, we are only
able to respond to those who best match our current openings.

Q: Do I need to have a driver’s license?

A:  Applicants applying for a position that requires driving a Fossil Rim vehicle must have a valid
Class "C" driver's license and an acceptable driving record.

Q: If I am not selected for a current position at this time, what will happen to
    my application and/or résumé?

A:  Although your employment application will be held on file for a year following your
submission, Fossil Rim Wildlife Center does not maintain an active database for
future openings. If a new position is posted at a future date and you are interested
in applying, it will be necessary to complete a new application.

Q: Can I call the Human Resources Department to find out if I am being
considered for a position or to check if my application has been received?

A:  No phone calls please. As stated previously, your application will be forwarded to
the hiring manager for review. You will be contacted if you are selected for an interview.
